mortuary blues
black
and white life
is what moves here
long monotonous lines
twist around
the lobotamized revolving door.
fluorescent light pulsates
in small
white rooms
where on cold metal tables
death lays
triumphant,
defiant through time.
aged
funeral directors
offer flaccid condolences to the
family
with plastic smiles
and clammy handshakes.
this is how it is
how i live,
death
keeping me alive
tucks my children in
has sex with my wife
owns my house
2 cars
my business.
here everyday
working side by side death
on
cold metal tables.
